CRTC CRACKS DOWN ON TELEMARKETERS

Richmond Hill Post - - Homes -

To the relief of all NADCA Certified Duct Cleaners and many Ontario residents who have been repeatedly called by telemarketers ignoring “Do Not Call” lists, the CRTC has taken action. These companies were using “spoofing” a practice of foreign telemarketers to disguise where they are and make people think the call is coming from their local area code. CBC’s Marketplace did an investigative piece on this problem. On cbc.ca/marketplace/episodes, view “To Catch A Telemarketer” and “When the Repairman Knocks: Air Ducts.” Choose a Professional Member of NADCA when calling for Air Duct Cleaning.
