A new foodie dawn
Star chef Rob Gentile is heading north. Vaughan is gearing up to get a new city centre thanks to a coupla developers (SmartReit and CentreCourt), and as luck would have it, the mixed commercial-residential project has one of downtown Toronto’s top Italian eateries. “It’s an incredible honour to be able to bring the Buca brand closer to a Vaughan community that’s been so sup- portive as it has helped build and serve a new community,” says Peter Tsebelis of restaurant group King Street Food Company. Lovers of Italian fare can expect both a 4,500-square-foot Buca and a 1,500-square-foot Bar Buca, the more casual younger sibling, to join the area. No menu details available, yet, but if these puppies are anything like the original, expect gold.
SUGAR FIX We can bet on getting tasty Italian pastries at the 905’s new Bucas.
