| Spe­cialty Camp

Cen­trally lo­cated at Bayview and Shep­pard, the Bayview Vil­lage Ju­nior Ten­nis Camp con­ducts 11 one-week ten­nis camp ses­sions through­out the summer at the Bayview Vil­lage Ten­nis Club. Beginner and in­ter­me­di­ate stu­dents par­tic­i­pate at a 6:1 ra­tio while ad­vanced and tour­na­ment level play­ers prac­tice at a 4:1 ra­tio. Full and half-day pro­grams are avail­able. Ex­tended hours are avail­able upon re­quest. The camp is in its 29th year of op­er­a­tion un­der the di­rec­tion of Peter Nielsen, who has a strong and suc­cess­ful tra­di­tion in ju­nior de­vel­op­ment. Since 1989, Bayview Vil­lage Ten­nis Club has won the Out­stand­ing Achieve­ment Award for Ju­nior De­vel­op­ment, pre­sented by the On­tario Ten­nis Assoc., in 15 of the last 20 years. Peter and the staff ap­proach teach­ing and train­ing in a pro­gres­sive, fun-filled man­ner. Cer­ti­fied pro­fes­sion­als im­ple­ment pro­gram con­tent and teach­ing meth­ods. The de­vel­op­ment of life skills, friend­ships, prizes, drills and com­pe­ti­tions are all part of a mem­o­rable ex­pe­ri­ence at Bayview Vil­lage Ju­nior Ten­nis Camp.
