York Re­gional Po­lice

are seek­ing the pub­lic’s as­sis­tance in lo­cat­ing a miss­ing 24-year-old woman from the city of Vaughan. The woman was last seen get­ting into a ve­hi­cle in the area of Martin Grove Road and Wood­bridge Av­enue the evening of May 3. Po­lice were told that the woman may have been un­der duress when get­ting into the ve­hi­cle, de­scribed as a sil­ver or beige SUV. In­ves­ti­ga­tors and her fam­ily are con­cerned for her well­be­ing and are seek­ing wit­nesses and in­for­ma­tion.

York Re­gional Po­lice

( YRP) of­fi­cers were called to the area of High­way 7 and West Beaver Creek Road fol­low­ing re­ports of a bank rob­bery car­ried out by a lone male sus­pect, bran­dish­ing a shot­gun on May 3, at ap­prox­i­mately 7:30 p.m. The sus­pect ob­tained a quan­tity of cash and was last seen flee­ing east­bound on foot. No one was phys­i­cally in­jured dur­ing the in­ci­dent. In­ves­ti­ga­tors with the York Re­gional Po­lice Hold-Up Unit are cur­rently seek­ing leads and wit­nesses to iden­tify this sus­pect.

Two male sus­pects

have been charged in con­nec­tion to a string of rob­beries that oc­curred in Rich­mond Hill and the town­ship of King. The six rob­beries oc­curred at dif­fer­ent fi­nan­cial in­sti­tu­tions and one restau­rant through­out April and May. The sus­pects were iden­ti­fied and ar­rested on May 15. The charges in­clude rob­bery, at­tempted rob­bery, dis­guise with in­tent, use of a firearm while com­mit­ting an of­fice, care­less use of a firearm and pos­ses­sion of a pro­hib­ited firearm with am­mu­ni­tion.
