Celebrating 30 Years in Business!!

Centre Street Deli

What makes Toronto such a foodie destination?

There are so many options available today and we’ve become so open to such a variety of different flavours. Who knew, even 20 years ago, how popular Thai, Indian and other cultural flavours would become.

Who inspired you to cook?

My mom. I was always, always, in the kitchen with my mom. She could make a nine course meal with a bag of potatoes and a piece of meat! I was her sous-chef.

What dish is your restaurant famous for?

Centre Street Deli is well known for our old-fashioned Montreal Smoked Meat. We steam and hand-cut our Montreal Smoked Meat on site and some of our other smoked meats are prepared on site. We will not machine cut any of our meats.

What has been your proudest moment in business?

We just celebrated 30 years in business. 30 years of growing with the community and serving multiple generations of families. There are so many new families in the community that have embraced the local food and our deli in particular. It’s great feeling to attract new customers while keeping your regular patrons happy!

What’s new on the menu this season?

We will keep on serving the fantastic, traditional food that our customers love!
