The ve­gan fran­chise Cin­na­holic opened its first Cana­dian lo­ca­tion on Aug. 10 in­side the Prom­e­nade mall. The shop spe­cial­izes in cin­na­mon rolls, each one cus­tom­iz­a­ble, with a wide range of ic­ing flavours and top­pings avail­able. Bistro has opened a lo­ca­tion in Vaughan, serv­ing cus­tom-crafted pies with a va­ri­ety of di­etary op­tions, in­clud­ing gluten-friendly dough and ve­gan cheese. With al­most 20 veg­gie top­pings and nine meat op­tions, this restau­rant gives cus­tomers a unique take on pizza. The Manitoba-based pizza chain also of­fers unique dessert piz­zas, served with ice cream and choice of top­pings that in­clude Oreo Ex­plo­sion and ap­ple crisp, to name but a few (9370 Bathurst St., Unit 9300).

LMC Health­care has opened a new lo­ca­tion in Thorn­hill. This pub­licly funded clinic of­fers a wide range of ser­vices and spe­cial­izes in di­a­betes care. The spe­cial­ists along with the staff pride them­selves on pro­vid­ing an en­vi­ron­ment that en­ables well­ness as well as ed­u­ca­tion to em­power and help pa­tients in their bat­tle with di­a­betes (1600 Stee­les Ave. W., Unit 5, 905-763-8660) .

Car­bon has an­nounced a new lo­ca­tion open­ing at Hill­crest Mall. This lo­cal brand was founded in North Toronto in 2009 and has one store in Lawrence Park. With this new lo­ca­tion open­ing up in Rich­mond Hill, the store of­fers a wide se­lec­tion of men’s and ladies’ fash­ion and ac­ces­sories. Own­ers Alex and Sharon Mazelow pro­vide in­ter­na­tion­ally in­spired styles for all ages while show­cas­ing pop­u­lar and emerg­ing brands (Hill­crest Mall, 9350 Yonge St.).

Ap­pli­ance Stu­dio Gallery has opened its first lo­ca­tion in Thorn­hill. Founder Sam Mis­aghi has ex­ten­sive ex­pe­ri­ence in in­te­rior de­sign as the owner of AM Group Stu­dio, a com­pany that sells cus­tom crown mould­ing and fire­place man­tels. Ap­pli­ance Stu­dio Gallery of­fers brand name kitchen and laun­dry ap­pli­ances for all price ranges. The store­front acts as a show­room where cus­tomers are in­vited to come and browse kitchen de­signs (97 Don­caster Ave., 416-4499220). Chi­nese re­tailer Min­iso con­tin­ues to ex­pand in the GTA with a new lo­ca­tion at the Prom­e­nade mall. Ba­si­cally an Asian dol­lar store with im­pec­ca­ble brand­ing, the it of­fers prod­ucts rang­ing from health and beauty to elec­tron­ics, home decor and more.
