York Re­gional Po­lice ( YRP) of­fi­cers were called to Re­gent Street in Rich­mond Hill for the re­port of a shoot­ing. Upon ar­rival, they found a 34-year-old male vic­tim suf­fer­ing from a gun­shot wound. The vic­tim was taken to hos­pi­tal with non-life-threat­en­ing in­juries. The suspects fled in what is be­lieved to be a black Range Rover. In­ves­ti­ga­tors are seek­ing wit­nesses, and anyone with in­for­ma­tion is asked to contact York Re­gional Po­lice.

has re­leased pho­tos of two per­sons of in­ter­est in an ex­tor­tion in­ves­ti­ga­tion in Vaughan. On Thursday, April 4, po­lice at­tended a res­i­dence in the Bathurst Street and Shafts­bury Av­enue area af­ter a male vic­tim re­ported he had re­ceived a let­ter de­mand­ing money with a warning about what would hap­pen if he didn’t pay. In­ves­ti­ga­tors re­viewed video sur­veil­lance from the time prior to the let­ter be­ing left and are seek­ing pub­lic as­sis­tance to iden­tify two suspects in the video.

York Re­gional Po­lice

in­ves­ti­ga­tors have ar­rested eight male suspects, who are now fac­ing more than 180 charges in re­la­tion to a se­ries of break-ins across the GTA in the last six months. The York Re­gional Po­lice In­te­grated Property Crime Task Force worked in col­lab­o­ra­tion with GTA po­lice ser­vices and the Canada Bor­der Ser­vice Agency to gather evidence in mul­ti­ple in­ci­dents lead­ing to the ar­rests.
