Brule dropped to Jackets’ fourth line
VANCOUVER — After a disappointing and pointless pre-season, Gilbert Brule has been demoted to the fourth line with the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets.
Brule, 19, drafted sixth overall in 2005, described his camp as “average.” A year ago, he was the best of the Blue Jackets in pre-season.
Said coach Gerard Gallant: “We expect big things from Gilbert, but that doesn’t necessarily mean this year. He’s a young kid playing a man’s game. We’re in no rush.”
