Book spills more on Mick’s wild life

- DOUG CAMILLI

More from Christopher Andersen’s new book Mick: The Wild Life and Mad Genius of Jagger, as recounted in the New York Daily News: In 1973, David Bowie’s wife Angie returned early one morning to their London home, after a trip, and found Dave and Mick asleep together. She brought them coffee and orange juice. Hey, it was the ’70s, and Bowie and Angie were openly bisexual.

The affair went on for some time. Angie wasn’t enthusiastic — Bowie, then 26, was four years younger than Mick, and Angie thought Dave’s young fans would not approve of the liaison. Also: “I wish it had been me with Mick,” Angie says. “I’ve always thought Mick must be a wild man in bed. He is a very sexy guy.”

But when he did hit on her, she says, she got the giggles and it didn’t work out. Nice work if you can get it: Scarlett Johansson has been offered 20 million smackeroos to be the Black Widow again in the (first) Avengers sequel, the New York Post reports.

No kidding. The original movie is at $1.355 billion US in revenue and still counting, the third-biggest global box-office film ever. (Can you name the top two? Answer below.)

ScarJo, meanwhile, has been on a yacht, off the coast of Sicily. The New York Daily News ran bikini photos of her stretched out beside a fit-looking guy a little older than she is. He’s not named but is supposedly her bodyguard; she seems to be treating him as more than hired help. She’s 27. Baby bop: Adele, who said last month that she’s pregnant, is getting right into it: The Sun, in England, says the singer has recorded a bunch of nursery rhymes and songs, and “has been playing the rhymes to her belly (to) get her voice as close as possible to the baby so it can hear as many soothing sounds as possible.’’ Post-divorce boost: For some reason, there’s suddenly a lot of buzz about Holmes & Yang, the fashion line launched in 2009 by Katie Holmes and designer Jeanne Yang.

H&Y has had a “low and lack- lustre” profile, says the Daily Mail, but is making a breakout: The line — daywear, eveningwear, and handbags — will have its first big-time runway show at New York Fashion Week in early September, WWD reports.

Meanwhile, People mag says Katie starts work next week filming Molly, a picture she co-wrote and is co-directing. It’s about a single mother. Answer time: The biggest-grossing film ever is Avatar, at $2.78 billion US. Second is Titanic, at $2.185 billion US. Both are by James Cameron. Hoffman is hungry: Even people who can really act have to pay their bills. That, I reckon, is why Philip Seymour Hoffman has signed up for Catching Fire, the sequel to The Hunger Games. Or perhaps he’s just trying to be, you know, a happenin’ dude who’s down with the youth.

Either way, E! says he’s in, playing Plutarch Heavensbee, the head gamemaker. He’s 44.
