Lawrence’s silver linings going up for auction
I have identified the cause of this week’s global epidemic of listlessness and morosity: almost 24 hours without any Jennifer Lawrence news.
She won her Oscar, was adorable backstage, changed her hair to black the next day — and flew to Hawaii to continue filming the next Hunger Games movie. Behind her, a helpless world began twitching and sighing with withdrawal pangs.
What a relief, then, to have this: some of her costumes from Silver Linings Playbook are about to be auctioned off, in Los Angeles: a coat, stretch pants, and a shirt and sports bra.
We’re all happier not knowing about the people who buy a starlet’s clothes, don’t you think? Four for coercion: Yesterday I told you about Tamara Ecclestone’s former fiancé being convicted for trying to shake her down. Now he’s been sentenced: four years.
Derek Rose had threatened to spill her “intimate secrets” — which, alas, remain secret — to journalists unless she paid him $320,000. (The other day, in error, I said $32,000.) One more hitch: Matt Damon and Argentina-born Luciana Barroso who got hitched in a New York Marriage Bureau office in 2005 with only a few relatives and Mayor Michael Bloomberg on hand, will do it again.
This time, says the New York Post, they’ll make it a big deal, in April, exact date specified in “save the date” cards sent to invited guests, but not made public. The location, too, is semi-secret.
Guests have also been told “no kids,” but I presume their three daughters, the oldest age six, and Luciana’s daughter from a previous marriage, will attend.
