Two crop dusters crash, one pilot dead

Two crop dusters crashed in separate incidents Friday, one of which was fatal for the pilot.

A 31-year-old man was killed when his plane crashed in a field west of Rose Valley during the mid-morning hours, according to an RCMP news release.

The pilot, who was the only occupant of the plane, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

Elsewhere, a 66-yearold man from Carrot River was uninjured when his spray plane crashed near Aylsham at approximat­ely 8 a.m., according to another news release.

The plane crashed after one of the wheels touched the ground during a turn.
