Fraser home has ‘wow’ factor

If you are looking for a family home with that “wow” factor, you’ll want to check out Fraser Homes’ latest show home at 102 Teal Cres. in Stonebridge.

This two - storey, 1,890-square-foot home features an unusual floor plan that is suited for a family with older children.

Right from the moment you walk in, luxurious extras are apparent. The two-storey foyer provides ample room to greet guests and allows natural light to pour into the main floor from large windows high above the front door. A fireplace surrounded by slate grey stone work becomes a warm and modern focal point.

The living room also features wave hardwood flooring in grey. This type of flooring has a textured surface that will hide imperfections and maintain its beauty for years.

“When you go to hardwoods, it’s not usually as durable. So with the wave it hides some of the imperfections,” said Clay Fraser, general manager of Fraser Homes. “The low-gloss finish hides some of the scratches and scuffs, too.”

The contemporary kitchen comes with quartz countertops, custom dark maple cabinets, stainless steel Kitchen Aid appliances and glass tile backsplash. An eating area is a casual spot to linger over breakfast or work on homework. The dining room is large enough to host special gatherings.

A built-in audio system allows for your favourite music to be played in almost any room in the house from your phone or iPod.

“One nice thing about the two-storey plan is the master bedroom is on the main floor versus having everything on the second floor. It kind of separates the space,” said Fraser. He added the home got a lot of positive feedback during the Parade of Homes during the summer.

The master bedroom features an over-sized ensuite with walk-in closet. In-floor heating will take the chill off the ceramic tile floor and convenient dual sinks will make getting ready in the morning a breeze. Bonuses include a jetted tub and walk-in tiled shower with built-in Bluetooth-capable speaker. The speaker will sync with your phone stream music. The speaker can be removed from the shower to follow you while you’re getting ready.

Fraser Homes has installed an Infinity controller for complete control over air-conditioning, furnace, humidifier and HRV, all in a one-touch screen device.

At the top of the stairs is one of the most attractive features — a bonus room. It’s perfect for teenagers to watch their own shows, play video games or just hang out with friends.

Two upstairs extralarge bedrooms provide ample room for doubleor queen-sized beds with dresser and desk.

This Fraser show home at 102 Teal Cres. is open for viewing Monday to Thursday, 7 to 9 p.m.; weekends and holidays 2 to 5 p.m.
