Firefighters free driver from car
A driver was injured when a car and a truck collided in downtown Saskatoon.
The Saskatoon Fire Department said firefighters used extrication tools to free the driver from a car at around 3 a.m. Saturday. Paramedics took the person to hospital. There’s no word on the extent of the driver’s injuries.
The crash happened at the intersection of 22nd Street and Second Avenue.
Acting Staff Sgt. Joe Jorgenson said police laid no major charges in connection with the collision.
Crews were also on Circle Drive near the 11th Street exit Saturday morning after a southbound car lost control and hit a guardrail.
No one was injured in that mishap, Jorgenson said.
