VALUABLE PROGRAM

Never before have I felt compelled to write a letter to the editor, but reading Michael Murphy’s comments ( Attack unfounded, SP, Feb. 18) about the “militarization” of high schools prompted me to say something.

When I read Murray Mandryk’s column about the “grey-haired ponytailed petitioners” I thought it was pretty much spot on.

Murphy should realize that there will be better kids and adults as a result of programs like this. Such programs trump video games by a lot. Joe Stronach Dalmeny
