Almost a year after Linda Clark was gunned down, answers are still hard to come by for her family.

The 55-year-old was found dead outside her Caswell Hill apartment building in the 100 block of 25th Street West on May 27, 2014.

So far, no one has been arrested for the crime.

“It’s kind of not good for us, sitting here waiting and wondering what is going on,” said Darwyn Clark, Linda’s brother.

He said her death has been particularly hard on their elderly father, who spoke to Linda weekly by phone from his home in Tisdale.

“It’s pretty hard on them. It would be nice to know, because they are up in age. They are not going to be around forever,” Clark said.

Almost a year after the killing, details about what happened are still sketchy.

At the time of her murder police said witnesses reported hearing gunshots inside her apartment building. After investigators arrived at the scene, Linda’s body was discovered outside. Police then spent hours interviewing neighbours in the area and searching the building suite by suite.

More than a month after the killing, police released photos of three unnamed “persons of interest” in the case. To this day, police say the homicide is an ongoing investigation. The three men in the photos have not been identified.

“They say they are actively working on the case. That is all they really tell you,” Clark said.

His sister lived on her own in the Caswell Hill apartment, where she had photographs of family members prominently displayed. The 55-year-old worked at a courier company in Saskatoon and enjoyed stitching, cooking and chatting with her friends online.

According to her family she was never into anything criminal.

They cannot comprehend why she was killed.

“She was a good-hearted person. She never hurt anybody in her life. She had a big heart,” Clark said.
