Drama around John Scott trade
The story of John Scott took another twist. The Arizona Coyotes tough guy was recalled from Springfield of the AHL Friday and traded to Montreal for defenceman Jarred Tinordi in a three-team deal. Scott, 6-foot-8, 270-pounds, went to the Canadiens with defenceman Victor Bartley after Bailey was acquired in a deal that sent Coyotes defenceman Stefan Elliott to Nashville. Arizona also got a minor league forward from the Canadiens. The NHL All-Star Game is Jan. 31 in Nashville. Scott’s status for the game is in doubt as the Habs immediately assigned him to St. John’s of the AHL.
