Stars off to strong start at Winter Classic

The Saskatoon Stars are 2-0 after winning both of their games on Friday at the women’s Futures Hockey Winter Classic in Winnipeg. Competing in the Grossi division, the Stars defeated the Pembina Valley Hawks 4-1 in the afternoon, and then won 3-1 over the St. Mary’s Academy Flames in the evening. The Stars will play their final game of the round robin against the Milwaukee Jr. Admirals on Saturday morning, with playoffs slated to start Saturday afternoon.
