Saskatoon police are looking for two men they say were involved in an alleged abduction on Wednesday afternoon.

At about 4:30 p.m., a 14-year-old girl reported to police that she had been abducted and held in a vehicle earlier that day, according to a police news release.

She told police she was in the 1400 block of Rusholme Road at 12:30 p.m. when a black truck approached her and two men got out. She said they put her in the truck’s box, where she was confined as they drove around for several hours.

Police said the girl told them she escaped when the truck stopped in the 100 block of Jamieson Street. She then ran to her school and reported the incident to staff.

Police said she described the two suspects as black men, about 6-foot3 with slim builds. The one in the passenger seat was bald or almost bald with a brush cut and a large nose and was wearing a brown shirt, jeans and old black and red high-top sneakers, according to the release.

The driver was wearing a brown hat with a logo, a white spring jacket and jeans, it said.

Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools spokesman Derrick Kunz said the administration is thankful the girl was not hurt and parents have been informed as a precaution.

“The school did send home a note with students today for parents, just informing them that were was an incident and to be a little more vigilant for safety,” he said.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
