Elderly woman struck and killed by school bus in Prince Albert

An 82-year-old woman died after she was struck by a school bus in Prince Albert.

The woman was crossing the street around 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of 10th Avenue West and 24th Street East when she was hit, according to Prince Albert police. Ambulance staff, police and firefighters responded to the scene and transported her to hospital.

Police on Friday said the woman died from her injuries. Her name was not released.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
