WHAT’S OPEN, WHAT’S CLOSED ON NEW YEAR’S DAY

Parking will be free downtown on New Year’s Day, and Saskatoon Transit will operate on a holiday schedule. Here is a list of what is open and closed on Jan. 1:

Open:

Remai Modern: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saskatoon Forestry Farm and Zoo: (zoo) 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

(park) 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Harry Bailey Aquatic Centre: noon to 9 p.m. (but fitness classes are cancelled)

Lakewood Civic Centre: Noon to 9 p.m. (childmindi­ng, fitness classes and indoor playground activities are cancelled)

Lawson Civic Centre: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (childmindi­ng and fitness classes are cancelled)

Saskatoon Field House: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Special holiday fitness class: 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.) Shaw Centre: Noon to 9 p.m. (childmindi­ng and fitness classes are cancelled)

Closed:

City Hall

Midtown, Lawson Heights and The

Centre Malls

No garbage or recycling collection

Saskatoon Public Library (all locations)

Saskatoon landfill

Municipal impound lot will not be releasing cars

Transit customer service centre

(but customers can call the transit customer service line)

ACT, Kinsmen, Archibald, Cosmo and Lions arenas

Cosmo Civic Centre

Terry Fox Track in the SaskTel

Sports Centre
