Stone Sour and Halestorm headline SaskTel Centre

-

SaskTel Centre will host Stone Sour and Halestorm, Sunday, Feb. 4.

As intoxicating as the libation it was named after (one part whiskey and a splash of orange juice and sour mix), Stone Sour is a Molotov cocktail of an album - one part pure rock adrenaline with a splash of melody.

“We are melodic hard-rock with content and initiative,” explains Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor. “Stone Sour allows me to execute the writing style that I love and can’t necessarily do with Slipknot.”

To date, Stone Sour have released six studio albums Stone Sour (2002), Come What(ever) May (2006), Audio Secrecy (2010), House of Gold &Bones – Part 1 (2012), House of Gold & Bones – Part 2 (2013) and Hydrograd (2017). Released in June of 2017, Hydrograd is their first album to feature guitarist Christian Martucci and bassist Johny Chow since each joing the band in 2014.

The Stone Sour album netted the group two Grammy Award nominations, both for Best Metal Performance, for the singles “Get Inside” and “Inhale”. They added another Grammy Award nomination for best Metal Performace for the single “30/30-150”.

Halestorm, one of the rare bands with a female lead singer who dares to go where few will venture! Halestorm consists of four members that have created their own genre of hard rock. The electrifying Lzzy Hale has one of the most powerful voices of her music generation with the grit and intensity of Crissy Hynde (The Pretenders) and the emotion of Ann Wilson (Heart). Widely acknowledged as of modern rock’s most explosive live acts, the Grammy Award winning band recently released their third album Into The Wild. The single “Apocalypic” from this album hit #1 on mainstream rock radio.

The Feb. 4 concert date, in Saskatoon at SaskTel Centre brings together two of the hottest live performance active rock bands on the planet with Stone Sour and Halestorm. Opening for Stone Sour and Halestorm is the red hot all girls rock band The Dead Deads. lable at all Ticketmaster locations.
