SEQUEL TO SUCCESS
Rosewood Gardens development is a highlight of this year’s Parade of Homes finale
The 2018 Parade of Homes, presented by the Saskatoon & Region Home Builders’ Association (SRHBA), draws to a close this Sunday. This year’s parade showcases 30 diverse model homes located across Saskatoon, as well as in Warman, Martensville and the R.M. of Corman Park, all designed and constructed by Certified Professional Home Builders.
A popular stop along the Parade of Homes route is Boychuk Homes’ new Rosewood Gardens bungalow-style townhome condominium development, located on Olson Lane West.
Kelly Schroeder, marketing and design manager with Boychuk Homes, says, “We’ve had a very good response during the Parade of Homes, with lots of traffic. A number of people have been back to see the show home three or four times and want to take the conversation further.”
Boychuk Homes has modelled Rosewood Gardens after its highly-successful and award-winning Rosewood Estates community, Saskatoon’s first Energy Star-certified multi-family development. Rosewood Estates won the award for Best Townhome project (under 50 units) at this year’ Bridges Awards presented by the SRHBA.
Rosewood Gardens features 28 bungalow-style semi-attached units, with a choice of two-bedroom or one-bedroom-plus-den floor plans.
On average, each unit is 1,200 square feet. All units have mainfloor laundry and attached double garages.
Several differences distinguish Rosewood Gardens from its predecessor, Rosewood Estates. With units priced starting at $450,000, the price point is significantly lower than units at Rosewood Estates.
“At Rosewood Estates, the larger units were 1,400 to 1,500 square feet. At the same time, we have answered the demand for longer attached garages and 24-foot deep concrete driveways,” says Schroeder.
The show home located at #2 –315 Olson Lane West features a spacious, open-concept great room. The stylish kitchen, dressed in two-tone fusion, shaker-style cabinets with sleek quartz counters, overlooks a sun-filled dining area and inviting living room.
Each unit at Rosewood Gardens features a spacious master suite with a customizable ensuite and walk-in closet. The show home offers a second main floor bedroom, which has been staged as a home office. The foyer leads to the home’s second full bathroom and a main-floor laundry room with built-in cabinetry.
The show home’s lower level has been fully developed, with a huge family room, two additional bedrooms, another full bathroom and a spacious storage/utility room. It’s an option that is proving popular with many homebuyers, who don’t have the time or inclination to do their own basement development, says Schroeder.
Rosewood Gardens’ show home stands out for its trendy finishes and flair. Those who buy early have the option to customize many aspects of their unit, reflecting their own style preferences.
“It’s basically a custom home within a condo community. We let the customers choose the fixtures and finishes they want, providing them with allowances they can take to our suppliers, including Superior Cabinets and Western Carpet. We have a standard spec and price point and people can upgrade from there,” says Schroeder.
For buyers who aren’t interested in customizing their residences, Schroeder notes that several units at Rosewood Gardens will soon be move-in ready.
Each residence will be completely landscaped, with large maintenance-free composite decks. The community features a security gate and perimeter fencing.
“There aren’t many new townhome projects on the market today providing that level of security,” says Schroeder.
The show home at Rosewood Gardens will continue to be open for public viewing after the Parade of Homes concludes on Sunday.
Show home hours are Monday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and weekends from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. To view by appointment, contact sales representative Bill Yano at 306-850-9745.
