Police seek killer wanted on numerous warrants
REGINA A Regina man who played a role in a 2006 shooting death during a botched home invasion is wanted on unrelated warrants.
The Regina Police Service issued a release on Tuesday stating they are looking for 30-year-old Denny Troy Jimmy on “numerous outstanding warrants” related to allegations of possession of stolen property, evading police, driving while disqualified and breaches of court-ordered conditions.
According to previously reported information, Jimmy’s 12- year sentence (eight after remand credit) for the manslaughter of 48-year-old Douglas David Anderson was to end in June 2017. Jimmy and his cousins, brothers Jacob and Tyrone Worm, were among a group of gang members who, on Nov. 18, 2006, rushed a Regina home in the mistaken belief it housed a rival gang selling drugs from that location.
It turned out the men had the wrong address and Anderson was gunned down in front of his family.
The case went to a jury and Jacob — who, according to several witnesses, was both a leader and the shooter — was found guilty of second-degree murder. He later received a life sentence with no parole eligibility for 16 years.
Jimmy and Tyrone were found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to 12 years.
Jimmy is described as an Indigenous male, approximately fivefoot-10 and 210 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has burn scars covering his face and body, as well as several tattoos: on his left forearm, the words Kyle Monica; a skull and flames on his right shoulder; and on his right upper arm two masks and a king.
Anyone who knows Jimmy’s whereabouts or sees him is asked to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
