MCLEAN, Raymond

-

My Papa, Ray Mclean (of Warman, formerly Saskatoon), lived a long life. But after a short battle with dementia, he passed away peacefully in his sleep at Spruce Manor LTC home in Dalmeny on March 9, 2019, at the age of 76. He had spent most of his life on the golf course, as a proud member of the Legends Golf Club. He also enjoyed going on long walks, playing pickle ball, and tending to his garden. He was very prideful of his garden, especially his tomatoes! Which he loved to share with, and brag about to everyone. He survived by his brother Stan (Hazel), sister Jean (Bob), nieces, and nephews (all of which are in Ontario). His wife Jeanette of 55 years. Sons Corey (of Estevan), Scott (Barb), and grandchildren Kaitlyn, Addyson, and George (of Warman). Us grandkids were his pride and joy. Although he had a tough exterior, he would express his love for us through simple gestures. He would pick us up every weekend to go over to their house. Take us on walks to the park and out trick-ortreating every year. He would also help us build snow forts in the winter and set up slip-n-slides in the summer. His disease and passing has been hard on the family, but I will always remember my Papa for the fun times we had, and for his crazy sense of humor! As per his wishes, there will be no funeral services. Condolences may be left at saskatoonstarphoenix.remembering.ca. Arrangements in care of MARTENS WARMAN FUNERAL HOME (306-934-4888).
