It is with great sadness that the family of Stan Tetreault announce his peaceful passing at 95 years of age. He will be sadly missed by Clara, his wife and best friend of 69 years. He is lovingly remembered by his children Raymond (Debbie), Marcel (Cheryl) Lorraine (Jeff), Annette (Rick), Ronald (Carol), Lionel (Cindy), Cecile (Aime) along with 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Stan was the eighth of ten children born to Eliza and Hormidas Tetreault in St. Brieux, SK. After losing both parents at the age of ten, dad grew up learning the value of hard work, and the importance of family and faith. After pursuing a religious vocation and a BA from College Mathieu Stan chose a new and wonderful path when he met his love and soulmate Clara Brons. After marrying on October 9, 1950, Stan and Clara raised three children in St. Brieux before moving to Saskatoon in 1956. Their forever family home on Ash Street was soon blessed with four more children. A carpenter by trade, Stan found a new career at Midwest Litho, where he was employed for over 30 years. Yet, carpentry remained a passion that he pursued, as friends, family and the community around St. Francis School and Parish can all attest. Stan was a perfectionist. He could fix or build anything; from splicing hockey sticks, to building decks, fences, school rinks, cabinetry or entire family rooms, we all benefited greatly from his passion and talents. Proud of all that he was able to provide for his family, he continually did his upmost to maintain it for all to share. A true family man, Stan was proud yet humble, honorable and faithful, and loved and respected by all. The family would like to thank the compassionate medical staff at RUH who cared for him the last weeks of his life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the RUH Foundation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at St. Paul’s Co-cathedral (720 Spadina Cres, Saskatoon) with Very Rev. Fr. Stefano Penna celebrant. Rite of Committal to take place at St. John’s Columbarium. Arrangements are in care of David Schurr Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200 www.mourningglory.ca
