RCMP seeking suspect in connection with homicide in North Battleford

Saskatchew­an RCMP are searching for a 32-year-old man from the Sweetgrass First Nation who is wanted on a second-degree murder charge. According to a news release, RCMP are searching for Michael Jordan White in connection with the death of 38-year-old Todd Levi Stone.

Paramedics found Stone unconsciou­s in a home in the 800 block of 110th Street in North Battleford shortly after 4 p.m. on May 12. According to RCMP, Stone had suffered significan­t head trauma and was transporte­d to hospital in Saskatoon, where he died from his injuries the next day.

A forensic autopsy, completed on Tuesday, confirmed Stone’s death to be a homicide. Police have said they believe Stone was involved in an altercatio­n with another man before his death. Based on this informatio­n, the RCMP major crimes unit launched an investigat­ion with the assistance of the North Battleford provincial general investigat­ive section.

An arrest warrant has been issued for White, who is described as 5-7 and weighing approximat­ely 180 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. RCMP believe he has left North Battleford and may currently be living in Lloydminst­er.
