May 18, 1937 - July 4, 2020

Peter peacefully and quietly passed into the presence of his Lord on Saturday, July 4, 2020 after a brief but painful journey with cancer at the age of 83. Peter grew up in Hague, met the love of his life Mary Loeppky in the church choir and was married for 64 years. Peter lived a faithful Christian life, making it a priority to pray for his children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He retired after 43 years at Dairy Producers. He is survived by his loving wife Mary, and his family: Cheryl (Wayne) Friesen and family, Amanda (Carl) Anderson and great-grandchildren Ezekiel, Linnea, Ezra; Trevor Friesen (Krista) and great-grandchildren Charleigh, Mya, Caeden; Gwen (Gord) Elenko and family, Jared (Janine) and great-grandchildren Alexandra, Naomi; Kyle (Maria) Elenko, Braeden (Abby) Elenko, Rachelle Elenko; Rod (Jennifer) Friesen and family, Nicholas Friesen (Dominique), Benjamin Friesen, Matthew Friesen; Russ (Joyce) Friesen and family, Conner (Stephanie) Friesen and great-grandchild Arley, Carson Friesen, Joelle Friesen. He was predeceased by his parents Jacob and Anna Friesen and his brothers Isbrand (Rusty), Jack, Henry, Herman, and sister Anne. Funeral at Sutherland Evangelical Church: Public walk through viewing on Thursday, July 9 from 7 to 9 p.m. (social distancing required). Funeral Service on Friday, July 10 at 2 p.m. Due to Covid restrictions, seating is very limited and unfortunately, no opportunity to share with the family will be permitted.
