TRESHER, Anna

Dec. 3, 1922 - Jul. 6, 2020

-

As her final wish, Anna peacefully passed away in her sleep on July 6th, 2020.

Anna was a trooper, free spirit, rebel and most certainly ahead of her time. She was extraordinarily proud to be a stewardess for Czech Airlines in her early career flying throughout Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. After she and her husband Otto, with their son Otto in tow, fled the Communists in Czechoslovakia in 1968, they made Saskatoon their home. The next phase of Anna's career saw her working as a Microbiologist at the University of Saskatchewan.

Anna loved muscle cars and owned her own 1971 Mustang Mach 1 when she was in her early 50s! She loved her son Otto to the moon and back, and especially loved his Corvette and Roadrunner - which they raced on 1st Avenue in Saskatoon years ago.

Anna was a voracious reader, wanting to learn about everything going on in the world. She loved nature and gardening and especially birds, which provided her hours of delight as she watched them frolic in her backyard feeders and birdbaths.

Anna was predeceased by her husband Otto in 1977 and her brother on July 2nd - just 4 days before she passed. She is survived by her son Otto, daughter-in-law Terry, and her dear, dear friends Gerri Wolfe, and Rita and Andy Field. At Anna's request there will be no service. As a long time member of Eckankar, she knows she'll see you again. In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree or perennial, or hang a bird feeder for the birds. Special thanks to St. Joseph's Home for their excellent care in her last few months.
