Family seeks help with search

Megan Michelle Gallagher's loved ones gathered near the foot of the Senator Sid Buckwold Bridge in Saskatoon to unveil a billboard aimed at raising awareness about her disappearance and encourage anyone with information to come forward.

Megan, 30, was last seen on Sept. 19 leaving a friend's home on Lloyd Crescent. Her family hasn't heard from her since the day before, when she visited her father Brian and sat on his front lawn, playing with the family's dog. A family photo of her, taken in that moment, is included on the billboard at 20th Street and Idylwyld Drive, and in a poster campaign.

“Please keep sharing, keep watching for Megan. Somebody somewhere, somehow has some information that we so desperately need,” Brian said.

He described Megan as a mother, daughter, sister and friend to many.

“She is a remarkable human being,” he said.

Saskatoon police said the investigation is ongoing.

Brian said police have told him they have “a lot of people” working to find Megan.

The family's own efforts to find her haven't stopped, he said. They take different routes whenever they go somewhere, hoping to see her, somehow.

Megan's mother, Ingrid Maccoll, said she wants her daughter to know that she loves her, and just wants to see her come home.

Gallagher is as five-feet-10inches, 180 pounds, with shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes. She has several tattoos, including a half-sleeve with a large owl stretching from shoulder to elbow, a cross behind her ear, a rainbow-coloured feather on her ankle, the names “Jake” and “Adam” beneath her arm, and the number “13” on her hand.

The family and police encourage anyone who has information regarding Megan's whereabouts to call Saskatoon police.
