Air Canada bonuses a slap in the face

-

I admit to being a Liberal supporter, a species that is facing extinction in the west. Before you hang me, also know I have voted for the other parties as well. I'm not afraid to stand up and be counted when I believe in a cause or a leader best suited to run our country. I am willing to give people the benefit of the doubt and we need patience sometimes. That all ended recently when the news reported the Air Canada “executive” employees received $10 million in bonuses for last year.

This could be the straw that breaks the Liberals' backs. To say I am appalled is putting it mildly; it is unacceptable, period. It looks like Air Canada is poised to do what no other scandal could do — take down the Liberal Party. The loans extended to Air Canada so it could survive and the executives therein to thrive on $10 million worth of bonuses is a slap in the face to us, everyday ordinary citizens of Canada.

Give me a break, or give me a huge bonus for giving you the benefit of the doubt and trusting you. You have now taken money from my pocket to help finance a huge bonus to Air Canada executives. I don't care how you wash it, get the money back or look for another job. I, for one, will look at other leaders because of your folly. Your time may be running out — fix this now.
