SNL skit spawns Netflix category
A musical skit from this past weekend's Saturday Night Live episode has caught the attention of Netflix executives. The streaming platform introduced a “Short-ass Movies” category, named after the skit celebrating films that are 90 minutes or less. In it, cast member Pete Davidson — along with fellow cast member Chris Redd, musical guest Gunna and actor Simon Rex — bemoan the trend of movies running ever longer, specifically citing The Batman, which clocks in at nearly three hours.
