Jade Na­so­galuak Car­pen­ter is an Inu­vialuk artist and cu­ra­tor based in Cal­gary/ Banff, Al­berta, Canada. She was born in Yel­lowknife, North­west Ter­ri­to­ries, and was raised in Ed­mon­ton, Al­berta. She cur­rently holds the Indige­nous Cu­ra­to­rial Re­search Practicum at Banff Cen­tre for Arts and Creativ­ity.

In June 2018 it was an­nounced that Car­pen­ter is the re­cip­i­ent of the in­au­gu­ral Pri­mary Colours/Couleurs pri­maires Emerg­ing Artist Award.

This $2,000 award is given an­nu­ally to an emerg­ing artist who is Indige­nous or of colour. The Emerg­ing Artist Award is funded ex­clu­sively from do­na­tions to Pri­mary
