Beach bar­be­cue and corn roast in Lan­caster

LAN­CASTER, On­tario – The Raisin Re­gion Con­ser­va­tion Au­thor­ity (RRCA) bid farewell to sum­mer by host­ing a com­mu­nity cel­e­bra­tion on Satur­day, Aug. 25 at Char­lot­ten­burg Park.

The fifth an­nual beach bar­beque and corn roast fea­tured live en­ter­tain­ment from the Blue Grass Jam­mers, a small mo­tor­cy­cle and car show, bouncy cas­tle, soc­cer darts, wa­ter tube rides and guided ca­noe tours.

Hun­dreds of peo­ple flooded the beach and park, par­tak­ing in the events pro­vided.

“We are cel­e­brat­ing the end of sum­mer, and it’s sort of to thank all the campers that have been here all sum­mer, and peo­ple who are us­ing the beach,” said Richard Pilon, Gen­eral Man­ager of RRCA.

“It helps to bring in the pub­lic to see the beau­ti­ful fa­cil­ity that we have here,” added
