A reader asks: when will the city in­stall turn­ing sig­nal lights at the cor­ners of Brook­dale and Toll­gate Ave. Traf­fic is heavy enough to have turn­ing sig­nals turn­ing left from Toll­gate onto Brook­dale. All they have to do is take the ones off at the Home De­pot laneway and Toll­gate and move them west of it. They don’t use them to make left turns, put them into good use be­fore some­body gets se­ri­ously in­jured at that cor­ner.

In search of miss­ing top hat! An au­then­tic top hat went miss­ing the night of the Corn­wall Com­mu­nity Hos­pi­tal Foun­da­tion Gala on Oct. 13 at the Nav Cen­tre. If any­one has found the hat and would like to re­turn it. They can drop it off, no ques­tions asked, at the Corn­wall Seaway News of­fice at 501 Camp­bell St., Unit 6, Corn­wall.

Chief Dan Parkin­son’s re­tire­ment party is on Nov. 17. His re­tire­ment party will be at the Best Western and will be open to the pub­lic with do­na­tions go­ing to the Boys & Girls Club. Tick­ets are avail­able at the Boys & Girls Club in Corn­wall.

I stopped by to talk with Mike Mer­riam and Denise Blanchette from Mar­row & Spice at the Trunk Sale this past week­end. So much of their stuff at the sale looked so de­li­cious I had a hard time pick­ing what to get.

Con­grats to Daniel Gau­thier for lead­ing his bowl­ing team, the Wil­son Fu­neral Home Bowl­ing team, to a 3-0 sweep against the M. John Sul­li­van Fu­neral Home team in their match last week.
