Step back in time for Old Fashioned Day on Sunday afternoon, August 9, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the Eaton Corner Museum. Demonstrat­ions and displays of heritage crafts and skills - tatting to timber framing - will be presented by local people who still know how to do them. Horse and wagon rides, chil- dren’s activities, and old time music will all add to the experience. New this year: Practical tips on preserving your family treasures, and ideas for making a family time capsule. Admission charged, but children 10 and under are free. Visit with friends over tea with homemade scones and jam, included in your entry fee. RICHMOND The Canadian Legion Branch 15, Richmond, 235 College St. N., will be holding a BBQ on Thursday, August 6 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Serving hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, dessert and coffee & tea. Come early and enjoy music with Gilles, beginning at 3 p.m. Everyone welcome - you do not need to be a Legion member to participat­e. Entry fee charged at the door.

RICHMOND Salad and Sandwich Supper on Saturday evening, August 22, following our Legion Golf Tournament, we will be serving a Salad & Sandwich supper which includes dessert and coffee/tea.
