éma-québec reminds that Quebec’s collective blood reserve belongs to all and during the warmer months, the need for blood doesn’t take holidays. Every day, the organization needs at least 1,000 blood donations to maintain the reserve to an optimal level.

To contribute to this constant need, Immeubles Coldbrook invite you to the blood drive to be held on Wednesday, June 21, from 1:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Lac-brome Community Centre located at 270 Victoria Street. Fifty-five blood donors are expected during the event.

In Quebec, someone needs blood every 80 seconds. Regardless of where the blood is collected, it is processed and tested, and then sent wherever it is necessary to contribute to saving lives. Donors are allowed to give blood as frequently as every 56 days — six times a year.

Who can donate? Most healthy adults can donate blood. Before going to a blood drive, you can verify your eligibility by contacting donor services at 1-800-343-7264 or by visiting the Héma-québec website at www.hema-quebec.qc.ca, under BLOOD > DONORS > Who Can Donate?
