The 19th Edition of the Danville Arts Symposium will be held on Labor Day weekend, September 1-4, 2017. The Symposium is one of the undisputed jewels of the annual series of Quebec visual arts festivals and symposia. This year, the Honorary Presidency has been entrusted to Raymond Quenneville, a landscape painter, a native of the Troisrivières region, a resident of Champlain, who has won numerous awards and distinctions. The event will host 46 professional artists, many of whom have received awards from all over Quebec. Their works will be exhibited in four city galleries.

"Everything is there to delight lovers of art and to have fun with friends,” Quenneville sys. “You are therefore invited to come in large numbers to greet the artists, share their passion, and be moved by their works."

A separate section, presented at a fifth gallery space, in the basement of "Trinity United Church, in association with La Source d'arts, proposes the creations of the local artists from the MRC des Sources.

The magnificent heritage village of Danville will come alive and visitors will be able to participate in one of 25 workshops demonstration, see vintage photographs, a heritage tour of the city and evening musical performances.
