Featured pet: Tomtom
He loves his walks and loves to run and play and loves all the attention he is getting from our volunteers. He is very dog social and is happiest when he has another dog to play with.
Tomtom did, however, lack that critical socialization period that every puppy needs. As wonderful as Tomtom is, he doesn't understand boundaries and when he winds up, he can become very "mouthy" and can be difficult to control. What Tomtom needs is an experienced adopter who is willing and able to work with him in a structured environment. His adopter will need to set boundaries and ensure Tomtom has plenty of opportunity to socialize. If Tomtom gets the upper hand, he runs with it. Tomtom will do best with a calm and confident adopter who will continue to steer him in the right direction in a supportive home environment.
Tomtom is smart and happy and in the right home with the right adopter he has the potential to learn and adapt and become a well mannered and well rounded dog.
Tomtom is 9 months old and likely a shepherd/bernese mix. We are looking for a home without children.

We would like to take this opportunity to share that the Frontier Animal Society will be participating in the 85th anniversary of Ogden taking place at the Lamarche farm this coming weekend. We will be present both days (August 19 and 20) between 11:30 and 1:30 and will be selling sandwiches and cookies as a fundraiser for the shelter. If you plan on attending, we hope you'll stop by our table to say hello and meet a couple of our dogs.
