The question is will ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ make it to the top of the country music charts a second time. Tanya Tucker sings about

Glenn Campbell Country star Tanya Tucker has a tribute song she has written for the love of her life, the late music icon Glen Campbell. “I’d hold you in my arms tonight just like we used to do, and I could leave this world a happy girl forever loving you,” Tucker sings in her new song,

Tucker became famous at the age of 13 with her huge hit ‘Delta Dawn.’ She was known as the wild child of country music and she was in her early 20s when she started dating Campbell, who was 22 years her senior.

Their love affair was very public and their fights well documented in all the trade magazine, which led to a messy breakup. “We had some bad times, he’d lived 44 years and I was just 22,” Tucker told Inside Edition. “But I only remember the really good times. If anything was a problem for us, it was the jealousy thing. I think at times he didn’t trust me as much as he could have or should have.”

Tucker was hit hard by Campbell’s death a few weeks ago, following his long battle with Alzheimer’s.

“You’re never prepared for it,” she said of his death. “All those years came rushing back like I never missed a year. I really was hoping I’d be able to say one last goodbye to him and I wasn’t able to do that.”

Tucker has released ‘Forever Loving You,’ co-written with Michael Lynn Rogers and Rusty Crowe, a Tennessee state senator who co-sponsored the Campbell/falk Act and all proceeds benefiting Alzheimer’s research.

While their relationship and breakup made headlines years ago, “I never stopped loving him,” Tucker told Inside Edition. “The love was the strongest love in the world; it was like a Bogie-bacall type of thing.”

The word is out that Glen Campbell’s widow Kim is not pleased about Tanya Tucker’s latest song. According to TMZ, “Kim’s people say Tucker is ‘callous and disrespectful,’ exploiting Glen’s name for her own benefit. They say it pains Kim to see Glen and Tanya’s faces all over tabloids, with headlines like ‘He Was The Love of My Life’.” Feelings are hurt, anger is setting in and I’ll bet this is not the last time we hear about this.
