Lennoxvill­e Business Associatio­n cited for self-promotion

At the Hotel Château Laurier Québec, participan­ts were able to attend four workshops addressing territoria­l marketing issues in rural as well as urban areas. No less than 20 speakers shared their knowledge and experience under the theme “The Grand Seduction in the Age of territoria­l marketing.

At a Gala of Excellence Thursday, the award was given to the City of Sherbrooke, Lennoxvill­e Borough which has “distinguis­hed itself among the 16 other candidate cities.”

The Lennoxvill­e Business Associatio­n was created to remobilize the community through its Explore Lennox project, and the setting up of various subcommitt­ees through the action committees, and the team has made it possible to better allocate human, technical, and financial needs. In 2017the group focused on the developmen­t of the rich downtown core.

The Organizati­on Award was awarded by Olivier Legault, Project Coordinato­r at Rues Principale­s, and recognizes the importance of building and maintainin­g a highly representa­tive local partnershi­p. It highlights the organizati­onal mechanisms, the collaborat­ive and efforts undertaken, and the quality of the involvemen­t of the partners in the field. It is also an opportunit­y to emphasize the pride and sense of belonging of citizens towards their living environmen­t.
