Rheanna is a sweet and calm young dog who is unassuming in her manner. Something about her just kind of melts your heart.

Found as a stray and very pregnant, Rheanna was lucky to find a safe spot in a rescue before she gave birth. She was a wonderful mom to her puppies all of whom were adopted. Now it's her turn to find a home and a family of her own. She will be a wonderful companion to some very lucky adopter.

Friendly and trusting Rheanna endears herself to everyone she meets. She isn't a needy dog but she is happiest when she has people around to keep her company. Ideally, we are looking for a home where she will not be left alone for long periods on a regular basis. Rheanna does not like to be kennelled in a crate but once she is comfortable and familiar in her new home, we see no reason why she won't be fine if she is left alone without being kennelled. The fact is, all dogs need time to adjust when transitioning to a new home and it is always best that they get used to being left alone gradually.

Rheanna is good on the leash and she loves her daily morning walk. She is also great in the car and is always keen for an outing. Rheanna is dog social and plays nicely but she shows a little too much interest in cats especially when she sees them outdoors. We can test her some more with our colony cats.

If you are looking for a gentle and kind hearted dog who wants nothing more than to be part of a family, please consider Rheanna. She is making the best of it, but she is more than ready to leave shelter living behind.

Rheanna is a mixed breed and is approximately 2 years old. She might have some lab or shepherd in her but we really aren't certain. Although she tends to look big in all of her photos, she is only about 40 pounds and definitely falls into the category of a medium sized dog.

Think Rheanna might be a good match? Have specific questions? Please send an email to frontieranimalsociety@gmail.com or give our adoption coordinator Brenda a call at 819.876.7747 any day of the week between 8 a.m and 8 p.m.

We would also like to remind readers that our annual benefit auction will be taking place this coming Sunday (October 22) at 94 rue Principale in Beebe. Doors open at 12:30 and bidding starts at 1 p.m. It's a fun and lively event and we have some really great items up for bid. We hope to see some of you there. All the money raised will benefit the shelter.
