Installati­on at Victoria Odd Fellow Lodge in Coaticook

On October 3, 2017 members of Victoria # 16 Lodge had the pleasure of receiving our District Deputy Grand Master # 5, Fred Mosher and staff for Installati­on.

Prior to the meeting all present enjoyed pizza and dessert of cake and ice cream.

Noble Grand James Mackay welcomed all and thanked Fred and his team for coming to install us. After eating and clean-up we were summoned into our Meeting Hall, for our regular meeting.

The meeting opened with James Mackay, Noble Grand, officiatin­g. Warden Lloyd Smith proved all to be members, and Chaplain Casey led us in the Opening Prayer.

District Deputy Grand Marshal #5, Ed Copping, asked to do Introducti­ons and he did.

For Rebekah Assembly Officers - Outside Guardian, Nancy Barton, of Sherbrooke; Left Herald, Dorothy Babbin, of Ayer’s Cliff; and Musician, Ernestine Whipple, of Stanstead.

For Grand Lodge Appointed Officers Grand Chaplain, Lloyd Smith of Hatley, and Arnold Mackeage, of Stanstead. They were welcomed and thanked for being present.

Then Ed Copping,who wears many BIG hats as Grand Representa­tive of Grand Lodge of Quebec, also Sovereign Grand Marshal for Sovereign Grand Master John Miller of Conn. presented Elective Officers of Grand Lodge of Quebec - his wife, Joyce Copping; and our District Deputy Grand Master #5 Fred Mosher, of Stanstead. All received “the Honours”.

After all business was taken care of those who wished to speak had a chance to do so.

After all had expressed their pleasure at being here, our DDGM#5 Fred congratula­ted all the Officers and thanked the lodge for his meal. He also extended “the Greetings” from Grand Lodge and his own personal greetings. He hopes we all have a good year and reminded us of the need for new members.

No further business, Lodge closed “in form” and next meeting is for November. James hoped we had enjoyed this meeting and to have a safe trip home.
