Missisquoi County Women’s Institute Bursaries 2017

Once again Missisquoi County Woman’s Institute is privileged to present awards to two very deserving students.

The Elizabeth Ann Beach Award, presented in recognitio­n of the woman, who lived in this vicinity and was responsibl­e for starting the first branch of the W.I. in Quebec, was awarded to Mylena Tardif, who is attending Champlain Regional College, Sherbrooke. Her goal is to become a lawyer.

Missisquoi County W.I. wishing to honour Elizabeth’s daughter, Ella Beach Brown initiated the Ella Beach Brown Award. This award was presented to Angel Hebert, who is presently attending John Abbott College. Her goal is to become a High School Math teacher.

We wish to congratula­te these two students and wish them well in their studies. We feel certain that both these students will fulfill their dreams.
