People in Knowlton really do care!

-

It’s just been incredible how so many people have stepped up this year to assist the TBL Food Bank help those in need in our community, West Bolton, and Brome.

Église St. Édouard, the Comptoir Familiale, Knowlton United Church, various businesses such as Windmill Plastics and Virgin Hill, our two pharmacies — Uniprix and Familiprix, musical and theatrical events, and of course the many organizations and individual private donations have made it possible to help an every increasing number of residents get by from one month to the other.

We cannot thank the Cooke family enough, owners of The Pub and to Diane Dunn and her volunteers who served a record number of turkey dinners and collected almost $950 of donations and their tips for the food bank along with a truckload of non-perishables.

Never since IGA has been preparing their $10 food bags so that the public could support the food bank by purchasing one have we had such a wonderful response from the population at large! Thank you!

The Secondary 1 students at Knowlton Academy had a food drive and collected 1,124 articles for the food bank under the guidance of their teacher, Ms. Sheila Perry.

Please note that non-perishable food items, personal hygiene and cleaning supplies, etc. may now be left at Uniprix, and as usual at the community center.

From all of the clients, the executive, directors, and helpers at the TBL Food Bank, we say a most sincere thank you!
