Wa­ter pres­sure could drop in Sher­brooke north to­day

The City of Sher­brooke is ad­vis­ing res­i­dents of Sher­brooke north that there could be a drop in wa­ter pres­sure to­day in a num­ber of homes.

Work on wa­ter mains could re­duce the wa­ter pres­sure in the quadri­lat­eral formed by Port­land, Jac­ques-cartier North, Mon­seigneur-fortier boule­vards, as well as High­way 410. Res­i­dents will, how­ever, be able to con­tinue to con­sume tap wa­ter nor­mally and will not need to boil it.

The pres­sure drop could oc­cur between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Dur­ing this pe­riod, the ur­ban in­fras­truc­ture depart­ment of the City of Sher­brooke will carry out work on the wa­ter sys­tem to will re­place a 400 mm di­am­e­ter valve at the in­ter­sec­tion of Ni­cholas-scheib and Mccrea Streets. Some homes on Ni­cholas-scheib and Mccrea will be with­out wa­ter dur­ing the work.
