Local Lodge happenings

-

Since March 2018, we have been a busy group, with visits from our Grand Master Sis. Joyce Copping. On March 20,Victoria Lodge #16, of Coaticook, Grand Master of Grand Lodge of Quebec - Sis. Joyce Copping, paid us a visit.

We had lunch prior to our regular meeting with James Mackay, Noble Grand, welcoming our members and Special guests. Casey Vriensendorp, Chaplain said “Grace”, and all picked out their pizza and trimmings.

We had a special cake for our Grand Master and she got to cut the first piece. She was happy to receive a decoration of a steam-train ashtray. It was identical to one her dad had many years ago!

After lunch NG Jim called the meeting to order. We had many things to take care of as we were in recess January and February. Special guests were presented, being Grand Rep Ed Copping; District Deputy Grand Master, #5, Fred Mosher; and then our Grand Master, Joyce Copping. All who had something to say did so just before our Grand Master Sister Joyce. She expressed her pleasure to be here and for all courtesies to her and her Officers. She extended “Greetings” from Grand Lodge; her officers and her own personal ones.

She also explained her project, Mental Health Care Unit of Hotel Dieu; and its concerns.

After the meeting all were thanked for coming and wished “a safe trip home.”
