Most successful quilt show ever at Emmanuel United

Sherbrooke Record - - BROME COUNTY - By Louise Smith

On Thursday Samantha and Doug Jenne spent many hours putting up the quilts to get ready for the two-day show, but their long hours were appreciated. A record number of articles were on display, 75 items, and a record attendance was set. Over the two days more than 140 people came to see the display of colourful quilts. Visitors came from as far away as Sherbrooke and the west end of Montreal.

There were new articles as well as heirloom quilts. Some had stories attached. Many had followed patterns but some were one-of-a-kind design artistic quilts. All had involved many hours of work.

Light refreshments were available and people sat to chat while seated in an area bordered by quilts of many colours. The show will be on again next April.

Canada was well celebrated.

People enjoyed a social hour while admiring the work of many.

Each quilt had a story to tell.
