Living the dream

-

Sue Scott, a local gardener and Brome Lake Garden Club member and flower enthusiast will speak about her garden/work experience on an orphanage in Tanzania, and then in England on a beautiful estate in the Devon countryside: Hillesden House; and in a wonderful French Mas garden.

Sue has been able to fulfill one of her dreams mixing travelling and her love of gardening. During the Hillesden House project she was able to spend six weeks working and gardening on this lovely bucolic property. Accompanied by photos of this project, Sue will talk about her involvement in meeting the various gardeners and estate managers all the while working alongside them during this complete garden renovation. Come share and experience Sue’s travels on Saturday April 21, at the Brome Lake Garden Club lecture series: 1:30 p.m. for refreshments, and the lecture from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Centre Lac Brome, 270 Victoria Street, Knowlton. Club members: free, and guests are welcome for a $10 fee.
