Sawyerville Volunteer Fire Department

On August 20, 1970, our family home burned to the ground. I being a teenager, never really appreciated the effort that the Sawyerville Volunteer Fire Department put into fighting that fire.

Fast forward to 1999, when I was invited to join that same fire department. With the hours of training and working together, one soon realizes the effort and commitment it takes to be a firefighter/first responder. The trusting friendships developed on these teams is special and everlasting.

Thank you to those who fought the fire back in 1970 and to all who continue to do so today.
