This Tuesday, July 31 at 11 am, the Estrie Youth Center Foundation and the CIUSSS de l'estrie-chus will welcome David Perron from the St-louis Blues (2018-2019) and the Las Vegas Golden Knights (2017-2018) and Thomas Gregoire of the of San Jose Barracuda (AHL) to the Val-du-lac Youth Rehabilitation Center. The David Perron-attitude Hockey Foundation helps young athletes in the Estrie with financial needs to help them develop healthier habits. Their vision is that together we can make a difference for young people who are being held back by financial barriers.

During 2017, the the Estrie Youth Center Foundation helped 7,181 young people aged 0 to 18 who were often victims of neglect, or physical and psychological abuse. Thanks to donations received during the year, the Foundation helped young people find balance, finance summer sports and cultural activities, offer financial assistance to enable young people to pursue post-secondary studies, or provide a starting kit for setting up their first apartment. The Foundation also helps new mothers who have few resources. In 2017, the Foundation granted $73,525 to more than 200 young people.
